~a ministry to all babies and children~

Why We Started
My ‘Gramma‘, Ruth Cheney, had a child that died, then gave birth to my Mom. Mom gave birth to Patricia in 1946. Patricia died shortly after. Dad and Mom had six more children including me, four sisters, and one brother. In our family a very hard tradition of babies dying before or shortly after birth began......
I gave birth to a healthy son and a healthy daughter. But so many of my siblings have faced the loss of so many babies that I will not tell of each here by name......
Except.....
One special child that was born to my sister Pam. He was very premature and was born in the late 70's. He weighed less then two pounds. They named him Nathan. He was born with a heart defect, underwent many surgeries and survived for over two years. His life meant more to me and many others that never met him, than I can ever explain. The testimony of his life and death, and the lives of those around him were used by God to bring me to understand and accept that Jesus Christ is my Lord.
Nathan was a tool, an instrument - only here a little while - but well loved by all and with a big purpose. I believe that every child has a specific purpose and place within God's creation.
I am grateful that Gramma Ruth, Grandma Lillian and Grace [Dad’s mom] raised my parents in the face of adversity. But most of all I am grateful for God's mercy and grace to me. He gave my hands talents. Years ago when I asked "what do I do with these talents?" He answered...and this is His answer.
This is for Gramma, Mom, my siblings, my husband, our children and our beautiful grand children. To all of you that suffered losses, or hold a premature baby, and for those that love or know them, this is for you!
But mostly, it's for God and for Nathan-whom I shall see again someday in Heaven.
